The Royal Danish Opera house
The Royal Danish Opera house
Ekvipagemestervej 10, 1438 København, Denmark
Located on the island of Holmen, opposite the castle Amalienborg at the shore of the harbour, the ultra-modern glass Opera House was built in 2001-2004 and it is one of the most modern and expensive opera houses in the world (the construction cost over 500 million USD). There are between 1490 and 1700 seats depending of the stage setup and size of orchestra. The orchestra pit provides room for 110 musicians from The Royal Danish Orchestra - and the opera building offers an outstanding acoustic sound excellence and experience for the entire audience. The new Opera House is a unique arts venue for opera lovers.
