The Dolder has an impressive roster of facilities: a golf course, 4,000sq metre spa and ice ring (in winter). It is located on a hillside, a 15-minute funicular and tram journey from central Zurich. Rooms are traditionally styled, with hand-painted wallpaper, white-marble bathrooms and, sometimes, an integrated sauna. In the newer spa and golf wings, floor-to-ceiling windows capitalise on the wonderful views, bathrooms are finished in sand-coloured Jura limestone . The 2-Michelin-starred Restaurant is rightfully considered one of Zurich’s best restaurants.
