The museum is dedicated to the world-famous Polish composer and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic era - Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849) who was born in the Duchy of Warsaw and grew up in Warsaw. The museum was refurbished for the 200th anniversary (2010) of Frédéric Chopin's birth and currently it is one of the most modern, interactive museums in Poland. Its collections are displayed on five levels of exhibition space which are dedicated e.g. to the Chopin childhood, Women of Chopin, time spent in Paris and his death. Visitors will receive a magnetic card to listen numerous songs or read different pieces of book about Chopin's life.
