The Baroque Royal residence, Wilanów Palace, miraculously survived both World Wars and currently belongs to the most beautiful historic buildings in Warsaw. The palace was built in the last quarter of the 17th century like a summer residence of King of Poland Jan III Sobieski. Later it was enlarged by other owners. Its architecture is a combination of European art with Polish building traditions. The main floor consists of the White Hall, Statue of Jan III Sobieski, The chapel, King's Library, bedroom, Grand Vestibule, Queen's Bedroom, North Gallery, Etruscan Cabinet and the Paintings Gallery called Museum.
