The Museum Rietberg offers wide range of treasures such as sculptures from Africa to Buddhist art from Asia, cult objects from the South Sea and America and a collection of carved Swiss masks. In addition, fascinating temporary exhibitions can be viewed. The museum was extended in 2007 – and the "Smaragd" (emerald) entrance, named after its greenish-blue glass is yet another magnificent feature. Picnic baskets, that tempt you to spend a leisurely afternoon in the park, are available from the Museum Café in summer.
