The Kunsthaus museum boasts by a great collection of art from classical to modern. Beside paintings e.g. of Alberto Giacometti, Chagall, Picasso, Monet... there are also medieval sculptures and panels, paintings from the Dutch and Italian Baroque and highlights of the Swiss 19th and 20th century era. The international focus includes the largest Munch collection outside of Norway. The Expressonists, Kokoschka, Beckmann and Corinth, are represented by several works. Note that it is mandatory to leave your bags in a locker which requires a 2 CHF.
