Casa Milà (La Pedrera)

261-265 Carrer de Provença, Barcelona

The magnificent Casa Milà (also known as La Pedrera) is a building designed by the Catalan genius - architect Antoni Gaudí and built during the years 1905–1910, officially completed in 1912. Fascinating is not only the special facade with wavy balconies but also interior. The most extraordinary is the unique rooftop with surrealistic chimneys looking like warriors from a scifi movie. For sure don´t miss the visit!

You shouldn´t miss Casa Mila when you are in Barcelona. It is a fascinating building! I liked mainly the huge roof with chimneys looking like heads of warriors. Gaudi was simply a genius!

If you want to learn about Gaudi, then this place is definitely worth a visit. You'll love the architecture and the decorations. It also has a beautiful view of Barcelona from the rooftop.
You shouldn't leave the city without visiting Casa Mila.

You can reach easily La Pedrera by metro, the station Diagonal. It is situated on Passeig de Gracia street. One ticket cost 14 Euros and we were waiting about half an hour in a line but it´s worth seeing. There are three parts - the apartment, loft and wonderful roof top with wavy lines and unconventional, somewhat crazy chimneys. In the apartment you can learn how rich families lived in 20´s of last century. We spent there more then one hour taking wonderful photos, especially on the roof.
