The Yeretabn Cistern is a fascinating massive underground store water (during war) which you must see especially if you´ve read Dan Brown´s Inferno. There are hundreds of pillars to support this building. The excursion doesn´t take too much time. The place is beautifully illuminated, when you walk on pavements you can see fish swimming in the water and Medusa head at the back. Some places are dark and slippery. Highly recommended to visit!

You can´t go to Istanbul and not to visit Hagia Sophia. Originally a Christian church turned into a mosque and now it´s a museum. There is 1.500 years of history here. I recommend to go to the 2nd floor immediately in the morning when it opens. You can take wonderful photos from that vantage point before crowds of people will come. There are amanzing wall paintings, mosaics and frescoes. Unbelievable how in the 6th cent. the church was built with 75 meter height ceiling with no columns that resisted earthquakes for over 1.500 years.

Dublin is a small, somewhat boring city. Weather is usually bad, cold and very often is raining (you need warm clothes even in summer). Positive thing is that there are quite a lot of green parks. If you like sightseeing I can recommend the Christ Cathedral from 11th century, it is amazing building and also I liked bridges which are constructed by a special way (I don´t know if other tourists can appreciate but me yes, I am an engineer :-)). The great atmosphere is in the quarter "Temple bar". There are lot of coffee shops and typical Irish pubs where offer the famous black beer Guinness.

Munich is a rich, not too big city, good for living and business. A lot of beautiful modern buildings and huge green parks. Everywhere pathways for cycling throughout the city. The central Marien square is very small and very crowded. It wasn´t possible normally to walk there at weekend.

I was in Geneva just for a short business trip so my comments can´t be fully relevant but I have to agree with Sher that the city isn´t very exciting. The evening in the city centre was somewhat boring, too peaceful for me :-). I had feeling that all people sleep and that there is no nighlife but maybe I am wrong....
