Museum of Chamber Pots & Historical Toilets

The biggest collection in the world includes 2000 historical toilets and chamber pots. In this unique museum you can find precious gems from the USA to Australia, e.g. the original chamber pots made for Napoleon Bonaparte, the Lincoln´s bedroom at the White House, the Chinese Emperor Qianlong, the chamber pot of Countess Mathilda Nostitzs, as well as a special collection of urinals, ladies' Bourdaloue chamber pots and much more. The museum is located in the city centre (street Vysehradska 12) and is open from Tuesday to Sunday 10:00-18:00. On Monday is closed. If you own some artefakt which fits into this collection, the museum will appreciate your offer.

Charles Bridge
The romantic Charles Bridge connects the Old Town to the Lesser Town. During first a few centuries it was called the Stone Bridge. Its construction, commissioned by Czech king and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV, began in 1357. The construction was in charge by a Czech-German architect Petr Parléř (his another work is St. Vitus Cathedral at the Prague Castle). There are now 75 statues on Charles Bridge, but most are copies, as floods and catastrophes over the centuries damaged the originals. One of the most interesting, as well as the oldest, is that of John of Nepomuk (8th from the right as you cross towards Prague Castle).

Kolowrat Theatre is a place of the "Prague Shakespeare Company" which performs dramas of William Shakespeare and other playwrights in the original English. Each performance is accompanied by subtitles in Czech language. Prague Shakespeare Company is the only professional English-language group in the Czech Republic and Central Europe. The group of professional actors do their best to combine the history with modern theatrical techniques. The company was founded in 2008 in Prague by Guy Roberts, former artistic director of Austin Shakespeare Festival in Austin, Texas.

Museum of Modern European Art is located on the banks of romantic Kampa island, in the picturesque building Sova Mills, where you can enjoy a unique view on Vltava River, Prague Castle and Charles Bridge. Sova Mills has been rebuilt several times since the Middle Ages and nowadays, it has been home to Jan and Meda Mladek Foundation. Among others, you will find here, real gems - a comprehensive set of works by pioneer of abstract art, Czech painter František Kupka, and bronze Cubist statues by the sculptor Otto Gutfreund. It is open daily 10:00-18:00.
