Notre-Dame Cathedral

30, rue du Cure, Luxembourg

Located in the city centre on the main tourist square, its tall spires are very hard to miss. The Catholic Cathedral was built between 1613-1621 by the Jesuits to serve as a church to their college (now the National Library). Although the Notre-Dame Cathedral has many Renaissance elements, it is the good example of late gothic architecture. The architecture is magnificent, with a lot of details. Walls are filled with angels and each bit of the wall is different from the other. The special ambience you will feel there especially during Christmas.
