Its soaring spires visible from all over Prague, the Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral is one of the most impressive cathedrals in Europe. Construction on the present building began in 1344 under the reign the Bohemian King and emperor of Holy Roman empire Charles IV. and was not completed until the 20th century. It’s the seat of the Archbishop of Prague and the place where saints, kings, princes and emperors of Bohemia are buried.
