Surprisingly, it's often a quiet, relaxed place in which it is possible to enjoy a drink. It's the main bar of the U2-owned Clarence Hotel on the city's South Quays, that is why The Octagon Bar is a very fashionable joint. The main event is an extensive and expensive cocktail menu, but the usual run of beers and wine is also available.
