Lobkowicz Palace (Prague Castle)

Built in the 2nd half of the 16th century by two Czech noblemen-brothers Jaroslav and Vratislav of Pernštejn, the Lobkowicz Palace is the only privately owned building in Prague Castle complex. It is home to the Lobkowicz Collections and Museum, the Lobkowicz Palace Café, Midday Classic Concerts and Museum Gift Shop, as well as numerous room venues for private functions. Concerts of classical music are held daily at 1 pm. The Lobkowicz Palace museum was opened to the public for the first time in 2007. Highlights include works by masters such as Antonio Canaletto, Pieter Brueghel the Elder, Lucas Cranach the Elder, and Diego Velázquez; family and royal portraits; fine porcelain, ceramics dating from the 16th to 19th centuries; an extensive collection of military and sporting rifles from the 16th to 18th centuries; musical instruments and other art.

Petřín hill (park)

Petřín - the steep, green hill - is one of the largest and most beautiful parks in Prague, located near Strahov monastery and Prague Castle. You can walk or go up by a cable car. Beside the amazing panoramatic view you will find on the top the Petřín tower, Mirror maze and Planetarium. The Petrin Observation Tower was built as a mini version of the Eiffel tower in 1891 and is still has one of the best views of the entire city. For Praguers, Petřín park is the place for lovers. There is a very old tradition for couples to go there every year on the 1st of May and kiss each other under blooming tree cherry branches.

Mucha Museum, dedicated to the life and work of the world-acclaimed Czech ART NOUVEAU artist Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939), is housed in the Baroque Kaunický Palace in the very heart of Prague. A selection of over 100 exhibits comprising paintings, photographs, charcoal drawings, pastels, lithographs and personal memorabilia provides a privileged view into the universe of the artist who is most widely known for the posters he executed for the famous Parisian actress Sarah Bernhardt.

Its soaring spires visible from all over Prague, the Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral is one of the most impressive cathedrals in Europe. Construction on the present building began in 1344 under the reign the Bohemian King and emperor of Holy Roman empire Charles IV. and was not completed until the 20th century. It’s the seat of the Archbishop of Prague and the place where saints, kings, princes and emperors of Bohemia are buried.

Old Jewish Cemetery

Established in the 1st half of the 15th cent. Along with the Old-New Synagogue, it is one of the most important hictoric sites in Prague´s Jewish Town. The oldest tombstone, which marks the grave of the poet and scholar Avigdor Karo, dates from the year 1439. Burials took place in the cemetery until 1787. Today it contains some 12,000 tombstones, al though the number of persons buried here is much greater. Closed on Saturdays.

The famous Library and the reopened Picture Gallery are cultural institutions proving to the world that the Strahov Premonstratensians have always cared for the development of culture and education.

Founded in 2009 in the Czech Republic, La Putyka became a very popular contemporary circus which has been trying to transcend the lines between acrobatics, dance, puppetry, sport and concert. Every performance is based on a specific theatre poetics and story. Beside Prague La Putyka had sucessful shows e.g. in Shanghai, Australia, Brazil or France. La Putyka cooperates with famous world esembles such as Maksim Komaro, Tilde Björfors, Daniel Gulko, lectures of Cirque du Soleil or French National Cirk school.

The first multimedia theatre ever. The non-verbal performances are a combination of dance, film and black theatre. Laterna Magika is considered key in the development of modern Czech theatre. The absolutely great experience. Especially performace "Wonderful circus" and "Casanova" are highly recommended by BTF!

The brewery guide tour with video and beer tasting is available on Mon-Fri 10 am-4 pm (during weekends just by prior booking).
